Lessons

Bury Dragons Lessons are an introduction to diving.  They are the means by which we identify talented divers to join our competitive squads. As we have quite a long waiting list, we expect children to achieve Diving Awards 1 and 2 within 2 blocks of lessons, equivalent to 1 school term.  If they fail in this, unfortunately we will have to allow someone else from the waiting list to take their place, although on request they can be put back on the waiting list for another try, or on our mailing list for appropriate holiday time events.  Divers achieving these awards are allowed a further 2 or 3 blocks of lessons to achieve Awards 3 and 4, after which they will be invited into the Club competitive squads.

Beginner lessons are held at the following times:

Monday 6.00 pm to 6.30 pm,

Monday 6.30 pm to 7.00 pm

Friday 5.30pm to 6.00pm,

Lessons run during Bury School term times, and are charged per half term at a rate of £7.00 per lesson for 30 minute beginner lessons, £10 per lesson for 1 hour improver lessons.  The complete block is payable in advance.  An additional £5 annual registration fee is payable for each lessons diver unless they are already registered with the ASA in another aquatic discipline.  We are currently full, and hold a waiting list.

Recreational Diving

We are no longer able to offer recreational lessons.  For children who wish to learn to dive, but not compete, the most suitable lessons in the area are in Manchester Aquatics Centre, Tom Daley Academy.  The centre can be contacted on 0161 641 6310
